Fishing is slow, use jigs and crank baits for both walleye and bass. 
Directions from Albuquerque; take I-25 North to junction of NM 22. Exit 259 west, and go eight miles to and through Pena Blanca. Three miles farther is the Stilling Basin of Cochiti Dam, two miles farther is the lake entrance on the right, and the village of Cochiti on the left. Distance via Pena Blanca on NM 22 off I-25 is fifteen miles.
