How's Fort Sumner Fishing?

Bass and walleye fishing is fair for white bass. Use crank baits for both. Both smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing is good. Use tubes, jerk baits, and jigs. 


Directions from Albuquerque: I-40 East to Santa Rosa. Take exit 277, connecting with US 84 at east end of Santa Rosa. Drive South to junction of NM 203 and US 84. Turn West on NM 203 and go six miles to Sumner Lake. The distance from Santa Rosa to the lake is forty-two miles.
